It doesn't get mentioned much, but for a free anti-virus program it is really very good.

If you want a paid solution, you might want to consider Norton. For years I had a hatred for anything Norton. Total resource hog.
The whole thing was re-engineered so now it actually runs very smoothly in the background.
All good things come to those who wait.
