As many of you know, I am a photographer. I run a photo group with over 500 people in it, and I do some photography on the side, portraits and weddings (mo money mo money mo money). I also go to school for photography. Essentially, I am INSANELY busy, but because I love it so much, it does not feel like work at ALL.
My goal this year (my new year's resolution, if you will) was to "get a show", and to that end I have been building a body of work that is interesting, different from what EVERYONE else is taking pictures of, and one that still shows who I am as a photographer, all while holding together as a single body of work.
In March, I was granted my first show (in June). Earlier this week I was chosen to be a part of a second show (this one in August); this one there were over 100 applicants, and only ten were chosen to display their work (well, 11, there was a bonus pick at the last hour). And TODAY I was granted a THIRD show (albiet much smaller, but still mine, and still an honor) in May.
I promise that I'll share images from these shows with you all as well
What an exciting year!!!
