1) Sort of. At the beginning of 2009, I decided to lose some of my 'grad school/college' weight. Took me about 3 months to lose 55 lbs. I wasn't happy being that thin, (face looked gaunt, IMO) so I gained about 10 lbs back. Nowadays I'm just maintaining the weight I prefer.
2) Since Jan 2009.
3) Working great. It's been 2 years now, and I'm hovering at about 205 lbs. Look and feel fantastic.
4) I can tell you what worked for me, but I can't say that it will work for you. I was already pretty active (I went dancing all the time) but I was maintaining too much weight primarily because I was eating too much crap & drinking tons of soda. Nowadays I drink water almost exclusively and I almost never eat out.
5) Nah, I'm good. Nowadays just the fact that I'm out rock climbing is a pretty good motivator not to put on weight. You really notice an extra 10 lbs when you're hanging on a crimp rail or trying to pull yourself up & over roof. Falling off the rock because you're too heavy sucks. Alternatively, my dance partner fits into tiny Tango dresses for me, the least I can do for her is to look nice in a tight Latin shirt.

As in, I need you to support me, not that I'm going to support you. Lazy wenches.
Anyway, while I'm not obese by any stretch of the imagination, I have gotten a bit roundier than I would have preferred. I will be dieting and exercising (bought a wii fit to get started!), and I figure that the more people I tell, the more embarrassed I'll be if I mess up. Also, I thought that if anyone else is in the midst of getting in shape, it could be fun to share stories.
For the record, I'm doing sort of a South Beachy plan (only good carbs, good proteins, good fats, lots of veg) and counting calories on livestrong.com. Also wiiing, obviously. Maybe playing camogie again.
I have some questions.
1. Are you currently following any kind of weight loss/fitness plan?
2. If so, have you been doing this for a while?
3. How's that working for ya?
4. Have any advice? (If you're Tom, you don't need to tell me that I should just run and eat what I want within reason. I apparently have a special kind of chub that is impervious to this plan.)
5. Would you like to be supported in this endeavor? I've got an excellent guilt-trip.

Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
Time for some community support.

Mass-produced sliced bread is gross. Fresh tasty bread is delicious.
