It looks like PLASTIC. The top doesn't match my room at all, it looks the blue-greenish grey plastic. It's not like it is in the picture. The drawer is completely unusable. It doesn't have a back so things will fall out and anything I put in there is visible through the top. It's stupid.
I have to say, all the furniture that I liked- it was really expensive. This desk was $150. Not cheap, but it's not like I spent a fortune on it. Even my lamp cost more.
The only relatively inexpensive thing I got lucky on is my carpet, and even that cost more than $150. And even then, not that lucky because I want to buy the same exact carpet (or some carpet with different dimensions) for the other half of my room and I can't because it's not in stock anywhere.
But- I don't hate it THAT much. I can use it. In a year or so when I have a job and feel like spending money I'll upgrade. I'll get the glass desk with curves that I had my eye on in this thread unless something better comes along.
