So I was informed of a second hand bookstore that was relocating and selling all their books for $0.25. Of course I set out to find it! (Side note: this story is not about the book store. But in case you were interested, it was a bust. Everything had been picked over so much, all that was left was Star Trek novels and Christian romances. Bleh.)
I had to park in a lot down the street and walk up past a row of cute little stores selling whatevers. Did I mention that I had Charlie with me?
I passed a window with a display of dragons. I was so captivated by the dragons that I completely ignored anything else and dragged Charlie inside.
I was immediately confronted with a wall full of bongs. Brightly colored, wildly shaped bongs. Er...I did not want to explain to my 7 year old what they were and what they were for. And the place was full of people giving me odd looks.
I was hoping to slip quietly out, but Charlie just can't let that happen. "Look Mommy! Science stuff!" he shouts while pointing at the bongs.
I slunk out to the snickers of everyone in there. And Charlie's next science class will be just a little more interesting.
