Yes, it's very strange for two people to enjoy beaches, sunshine and amusement parks together, whilst spending the evenings betwixt copious lovely restaurants and a large hotel room with a hot tub in it. Only total freaks would enjoy that. I frankly wouldn't want to meet such a couple in a dark alley.
That's not what makes you strange, though using "whilst...betwixt copious etc" is borderline. I'll decide later.
I refuse to let the weed pulling mistress of an accountant call me strange! 
You are not strange at all, TMJ... In fact, you are both exceedingly acceptable company and are of an adequately handsome nature.
Doesn't look like you have much choice.
