I think that what the protestor did was wrong. But I also don't think its fair blame the 'tea party' for the bad eggs. I have relatives that are tea partiers and they are not racist people.

That makes them responsible. That's not to say every Tea Party supporter is a racist, but it does mean the Tea Party supporters who aren't need to start taking a closer and more critical look at who's leading them instead of dismissing all the critics as commies and terrorists.

I thought you stopped needing a police escort to go to church in America back in the mid-sixties. Here's a thought: If you don't like being compared to the Klan, stop supporting people who act like them.

It's well established that speeches inciting violence are criminal acts, not civil rights; conveniently enough, it was the Klan who helped establish that by encouraging people to kill others because of their race in much the same way that this city councilwoman condoned killing people at the fundraiser because of their religion. If the sheet fits, wear it.
