There are books with no pictures that are considered porn and there is spoken word audio that is considered porn so it is hardly a stretch to include lyrics if the lyrics explicitly talk about coming on people's faces and sticking your finger up their ass. The guy shouldn’t go to jail to 20 years but this was also no silly prank where he should just be slapped on the wrist either.
Really? I question the first part. I can buy a book with erotic stories in Barnes & Noble, shelved just like anything else, no proof of age required. Maybe I just can't think of any examples. Yes, song lyrics are censored, but clubs play the uncensored versions and that doesn't turn them into sleaze shops. Spoken or written word, while it could be explicit and pornographic, just doesn't equal pictoral representation and is not judged in the same way. I welcome examples to the contrary.
Actually the word pornography best translates as (I love you wiki) "a written description or illustration of prostitutes or prostitution." However one defines porn, and text-only usually is included, obscenity is another matter, and many text-only obscenity cases have been tried in the US. Kaplan v. California, 1973, determined that "Obscene material in book form is not entitled to any First Amendment protection merely because it has no pictorial content." and that still stands.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
