A couple of times recently i've been about to start a 'no politics for the next week please' thread because the mindless repetition of argument and obvious partizanship.
quote id="190333">Recent events I fully expected to be posted about here:
Post about5 them if you wish them to be discussed. people will respond. Just don't complain that no one has taken the initiative if you also fail to.
- Patriot Act not extended
- the Planned Parenthood undercover videos
- Egypt
as just 2 examples. Is it b/c you don't care, or because you're European?
Please keep insults to yourself. If you are going to bitch about inactivity while being inactive yourself, please look in a dictionary for a definition of hypocrisy because you obviously need to learn of it.
Now, there is an election about to take place in Ireland. I am willing to discuss it with anyone who wants, but I imagine there'd be little interest here beyond a casual mention of the make up of the next government when the counts are in. If I am wrong, tell me and i'll talk about it here, or in a new post on the board. It is just a consideration for you as obviously being European is unhealthy and dangerous.

What happened that this board doesn't discuss politics/current events anymore?

One already knows exactly which argument one will get into with exactly which other people.

For me, it's an increasing lack of time as the economy picks up.

I'm fairly sure the "European" comment was because two of her three topics were American ones.

My personal strategy is posting what I find interesting, whether it gets replies or not.

Sometimes, yes. Other issues, typically theological ones, I can't stomach remaining silent. *NM*
