actually, i said this very thing before the game but of course it's not time-stamped as such...
actually, it's truly amazing the packers were even in this game, considering how many starters were out all season on IR, and the loss of charles woodson and donald driver during the game definitely hurt our chances. but this is the epitome of a team effort to win the big one, and it would have been no contest if jordy nelson didn't have big fat flipper hands...

He did get pushed into Roethlisberger at a very inopportune time.

The offense scored 24 points against the best points defense in the NFL.

On a very short field all but one of the times they got into the end zone.

Again, I'm just saying give credit where it's due, and that's the Packers defence, by a fair margin.

The Steelers lost because they couldn't move the ball on their last drive

I'm aware; I'm just not sure why that makes Aaron Rodgers the Most Valuable Player.

because he is the QB

QB is the de facto MVP of the super bowl when nobody else stands out

The forced fumble and the pick six are the two things I point to as game winners.

game winning plays are different than consistent play throughout the game

didn't you call Romo a choker because he hasn't won the big games?
08/02/2011 04:24:04 PM
Because he's LOST big games as a direct result of things he actually DID.
08/02/2011 04:56:00 PM

no it is a team sport and the his poor play at QB is not the reason they lost those games

i think joel's problem is less the west coast offense and more his disdain for all things packers

Pittsburgh isn't a large market? That matters since the Pack instituted drafts and profit sharing?
