Let's go with a scale from 1 to 5 (1 being a demon from hell). It would be nice if you would also provide reasons for the ranking. This is very important research.
I have a fairly new boss. He's been on the job for about 4 months. He is fairly lackadaisical about some things which are kind of important, and focuses on the wrong things. In the beginning I blamed myself because I was the one training him, but now I just think he's slow. (I was heroically patient as it is always tricky training one's boss).
It wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that he lacks communication skills, which I think is one of the most important things to focus on when managing a program/people.
On the plus side, he gave me a raise. 2 points!
