He murdered, among others, a child. He should have been dragged up to a wall and shot as a warning to everyone else that would try this garbage.

The disgusting act you are suggesting is no better than what happened in Sialkot Pakistan when a lynch mob beat to death two innocent brothers because they were all convinced they were criminals of some sort. turns out they were innocent. Im glad I live in a country where even a seemingly guilty man gets a trial and an attorney to defend him. And lets face it, we all know he will not got free and start walking the streets, his punishment will come even if it is a life sentence in a mental facility, because clearly the man is unstable and needed help.
