I don't personally support the idea that rape victims should not be allowed an abortion but the argument is a valid one. At some point in the life cycle I assume you would take away the mother's right to end the life no matter how conception took place it is just a question of where to draw that line.
Yes it traumatic to have a rape from a rape but being aborted would kind of suck as well.

Here is where I wobble. There are times that I really, really enjoy life and love my family and job and work. But I do have problems with depression (although not nearly as bad as it used to be). There are times when life is just something I endure and slog through as best as I can. Having been lived through hell through so many years, I understand people that don't especially value life. That aren't grateful for the "opportunity" to live. And if someone, especially a pregnant woman, is in one of those stages, then she honestly questions whether she is doing the child or the world any favor by having them. In that state they feel that an abortion is a merciful alternative for the child. I am just trying to help others see things from that perspective.
Different people have different ideas of how valuable life actually is depending on experiences and genetics. There aren't very many actual monsters. Just people from different backgrounds with different genetic cocktails.
I have a fun mental exercise for everyone

"Choose partners carefully to avoid this situation" cuts both ways; "choice" is the operative word.

a debate based on morality is not rational. humans aren't actually rational creatures, you know.

If you belive a child is a child from conception then does the means of conception change that?
