Just coming back into this after a year hiatus having read TOM and finding some spare time. I don't know if you remember me, I was IndigoAjah (Jac) on the old site, still studying. Just wondering as it's s new year, how people have been over the last year. What's changed in your life over the last 12 months everybody?

Suffice it so say matters proceed apace, and I am cautiously optimistic, thanks. How was your holiday? Did you stay warm and get all you wanted? Thoughts on ToM? I didn't think it as good as TGS (as with KoD, it was too rushed too often for my taste; nature of the beast at this stage and under these circumstances, I suppose) but still felt it fairly good.

My holiday was quite short and much of it involved earning money but it was lovely to see family and home friends for a few days so it was very pleasant. I got everything I wanted except the new Pratchett book which I bought anyway, but not so warm we were iced into the village for a bit!
I put up a brief review of ToM on the WoT page, overall I thought it good but not brilliant. I agree it seemed rushed but I was so happy to have all three Taveren back on form that I forgave it. I am really a lot more optimistic about the end of the series than after RJ died, both optimistic for a bittersweet if not maybe even happy ending for the first time in ages and that it might come close to my hopes and expectations.
And the answer came to her instantly: pride. Oh, you hear them say it's a sin; you hear them say it goes before a fall. the shepherd prides himself on keeping the wolf out from the flock. We pride ourselves on making a good history of our lives, a good story to be told.
