hopefully that means that their starters sit down after the 1st quarter. i'd hate to lose my way into the playoffs, but at least being there is better than not....
The Bucs are playing for that same spot against the Saints (the NFC South could do like the East usually does and send 3/4 teams to the playoffs). A win by them, Carolina and, of course, Chicago gives the Bears homefield throughout the playoffs, and I'm sure they'd much rather play the Championship at Soldier Field than in a Southern dome. However, the Panthers REALLY have nothing to play for but pride; Denver beating the Texans means Carolina gets the top pick even with a win and a loss by us (fine by me, really; they'll probably go QB and the last thing we need is another first round QB, so we'll get whoever we want without paying them #1 pick money). The only silver lining for me is that the Texans are playing SO badly at this point that if they lose and SF wins TWO of my teams should have a top five pick. Yea...?
But I've always kinda liked the Bears, and you know how I feel about the Pack, so....
