I can think of two ways to fix it. random thoughts Send a noteboard - 20/12/2010 11:16:26 PM
It should be possible to resolder whatever is broken. I would need to know what is broken and how it is broken to tell you how to do it. If you have never soldered before it could be challenging. Sometimes it is just a broekn solder joint and you can just resolder it. Sometime the connector has been ripped off he board with all the pads and it is toast.

Option two is simply buy a new case for the harddrive to go into. If you take it out the case it is in now you should be able to take it to a computer store and they can tell you what kind of case it can use.
