Yeah, it's pretty shitty that they're reluctant to give the tournament to them because of the media. When they announced the candidates I was really excited about the options, because I'd love to go to England to see some of the games.
I'm just pretty sick of the whole FIFA thing now - we probably won't get it and I'm completely opposed to the terms FIFA want to award it under, which is basically treating them as an exception under are tax laws and creating laws to suit them.
I can agree with that. The one thing I will say about the U.S. and the tournament is that it's about time for the CONCACEF region to get another World Cup, and the U.S. is pretty much the only suitable location in the region. If Mexico or any of the other CONCACEF nations ever get their shit together enough to be able to handle one, they should definitely be awarded one.
Well having read your reply to Legolas, I'll put it in here - I think Mexico can handle it. I don't see Mexico as worse than South Africa or Brazil, probably better over all than South Africa and better infrastructure wise than Brazil - of course you're living next door to Mexico and with that shared border and everything, you probably get a little bit of a distorted picture in the US?
I can't help but be selfish and want it here in the States, because....well I'd love to be able to see a number of games in person and not have to travel out of the country.
Well that is fair enough

I'm hoping on the Netherlands/Belgium bid for 2018, and Australia for 2022. *NM*

Why would anyone vote for Australia?

Because, out of all the choices for the 2022 Cup, the U.S. and Australia are the best choices

Your opinion that Australia is better than Japan and SK doesn't seem to be based on facts.
