I have backed Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to win tonight. Just a small wager. And I've added West Brom from the Championship, for a home win.

Good job - I love seeing them come in!! What sort of odds did you get? Make sure that you post all future tips.

Chelsea, I think the will do well this year. Could well get to the Semi's. I just think in the big games they lack a bit of width. Drogba will certainly be key or you.

I noticed Joe Cole warming up tonight which was fantastic to see... though I do agree Ancelotti's diamond does lack width and I have to wonder where Joe will fit in?

As far as I can work out our midfield options include: Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Deco, Mikel, Malouda, Cole J and Zhirkov. Almost a whole team there! I’d personally like to see five in midfield with Drogba alone in attack.

Regarding fantasy football, I am currently 1522 in the Telegraph's fantasy football - out of about 190,000. Just thought I would put that in - it's not often I do that well. (And I have two West Ham defenders in my team. Steve Clarke has certainly made a difference to our defence.)

One thing I’ve learnt about Fantasy Football is that if you’re doing well, it’s your duty to let everyone know – it would almost be rude not to! One thing I’ve learnt about Fantasy Football is that if you’re doing well, it’s almost a duty to let everyone know – it would be rude not to. Unfortunately my sister employs a similar philosophy and last year she was in the top five hundred on the FPL site (out of around 2 million), beating all my friends, family and everyone on this site. Not fun.

Steve Clarke was a huge loss to Chelsea and I think he and Zola have done a solid job so far with West Ham. I’ve actually had Carlton Cole in my team this season; I remember seeing him as a youth at Chelsea and thought he had a lot of potential. What are your thoughts for the weekend? If you could kick Liverpool while they're down that would be fantastic.
