I'd strongly recommend Jeffrey Lewis particulary the albums Em Are I and 12 Crass Songs which is his version of a selection of Crass songs and is actually quite excellent.
Three Irish albums I've been listening to lately are The Body of Christ & The Legs of Tina Turner by Fight Like Apes, White Fox by Ham Sandwich and The Nameless by Cathy Davey. All are pretty interesting and I would pick The Nameless as the best.
So far my album of the year is The Suburbs by Arcade Fire which I genuinely feel is getting better with each listen. I keep on changing my mind when it comes to picking my favourite track.
And just in case you don't own a copy, I strongly recommend the purchase of A Christmas Gift For You from Phil Spector as the greatest Christmas Album ever.
Hope there is something of use to you.

I really like some of the bands on your list... but how do you have Krautrock without Novalis? *NM*

Fair enough, I'm not really sure what the definition of krautrock is anyway.
