A hundred centiliters isn't "about" a liter, it's EXACTLY a liter. - Edit 1

In her defense, her mind was busy trying to convert Imperial units to metric, since my mother didn't even TRY to do so in her dressing recipe. So she was converting cups to deciliters, then adding them up to get the total number of cups required, which is when "A hundred centiliters is about a liter.... " absently rolled off her tongue and made me chuckle. Same reason I typed "deciliters" rather than "centiliters" when I made the post. Like I said, karma's a bitch, and maybe I shouldn't publicly tease people who volunteered to make an American Thanksgiving Dinner for me, complete with pumpkin pie (which will apparently use red kuri pumpkins and be made from scratch) and my mothers own complicated and time consuming cornbread stuffing. She's been cooking for about ten hours now, and there's a lot left to do on the pumpkin; fortunately her mom is doing the turkey, mashed potatoes and most of the veggies.
Yes, she's too good for me (duh).
