I understand, but what's really sad is it's hard to be sure WHICH GOP policy she meant.

Aisha asked why we don't like her, and I listed off several statements and actions we find offensive, including:
She said of Republicans “They’ll take food out of the mouths of children in order to give tax cuts to the wealthiest.”, which in case your wondering, yes most of us right-wingers do tend to dislike people who accuse of us starving children.
So yeah, I could go on and on, you might not agree with me, but as for why we hate her, that would be some of the reasons
Realistically, this would be like me saying "Agree or disagree with the accusation, many liberals dislike being accused of being un-patriotic, and are offended by people who make such claims" it doesn't really require me to prove libs are or aren't patriotic. So, if someone on the right has posted "Why do liberals hate Sean Hannity?" and I posted that as a reason with some attached quote of him saying that, its not necessary for anyone to come by and prove libs really are patriotic or not, it only matters that such a comment might tick people off, true or false.

My bet is she was talking about the Dems failed attempt to extend SCHIP under Bush, but I can't read the womans mind. MY point was that the charge is made precisely because it IS applicable to various GOP policies going back at least thirty years. Hell, these are the people that think you get unemployed starving people off the street with a cash drop at the nearest mansion.
So, yes, I conceded YOUR point; yes, I understand the charge is offensive whether it's true or not, but whether it's true or not has a whole LOT to do with who's at fault there. I'm not making an apples to apples comparison, let me be clear, but most murderers object to being characterized as such in front of the jury; how much sympathy do you think their anger at an accurate charge earns them? Once again we're back to the Stevenson line. Blaming the prosecution for making ones crimes public is a poor defense. The anger is as understandable as it is unjustified. It reminds me of when Ws people accused Gore of trying to scare seniors with claims Bush would try to privatize Social Security (precisely what he DID try his first year in office, campaign denials aside): Dems don't have to scare seniors; the GOP platform does the job just fine unassisted. Then they promise seniors to cut all entitlements (nothing but waste, y'know) in one breath while in the next promising not to let the evil Dems touch their Medicare (God bless the GOP for giving us Medicare, eh?)

Why do conservatives hate Nancy Pelosi?

possibly because she is too good at her job

I suspect that's much of it, though she does lend herself to caricature.

Misogyny is a big part, Tom Daschle and Harry Reid was never hated as much as her

I'm not sure that's enough; Pelosi's far more liberal than either of them.

Well, not to point out the obvious, but she was Speaker of the House

One of those charges is valid though, sadly.

Perhaps, since we seem to disagree on the facts as well as how they were spun.
