It's no better or more effective than other advertising. My kid gets plenty of real toys--the cheap crap McDonald's gives away with their food really doesn't matter to her. She usually throws it away by the time we get home. Taking the toy away on a government level is just another ridiculous nanny-state act that won't have the intended results.
