That doesn't mean we can't aspire to a better standard. It just doesn't work; ask Russ Feingold how much good running a positive campaign on his record is doing while Johnson calls him an Obama/Pelosi clone as if that ends all debate. Which takes a lot of cheek, IMHO, since just a few months ago the man was telling the Legislature to keep the statute of limitations on pedophilia to preserve state commerce. Frankly, if sending child rapists to jail will impact Wisconsins economy THAT badly, maybe they need some closer scrutiny.

It wasn't actually supposed to be a partisan post Joel, hence I didn't comment on the dems doing it more than the GOP this year or sometihng, the whole thing is at most a crack at Stewart's Rally, its a humorous reminder that every election cycle features nasty comments and always have, and the media has a dogged attitude of proclaiming the current one the worst ever.

As for Feingold, since you mention it, his squeaky clean campaign image has been challenged many times since it appears he maintains it by simply proclaiming it constantly, you just whacked Johnson claiming basically that he supports rape and pedophilia on Feingold's behalf... what exactly do you think negative campaign usually is anyway?
