aaah but who says we can percieve all there is to percieve in relation to our persons? LadyLorraine Send a noteboard - 14/09/2009 04:14:08 PM
There are a lot of aspects of humanity that neither psychology or biology can necessarily explain (at least at the moment). A "soul", so to speak, would explain this. Why can we not percieve our own souls? Maybe we can, but it's entirely unconscious. This would explain gut feelings that. Or maybe we simply cannot perceive it. After all, without the aid of technology, we cannot perceive the action of our cells or their atoms, but it is fact they exist.

I am mostly just stirring up the water here :P I happen to really like musing and guessing and thinking about this subject.

On a gut level, I think all substance is teleologically tied to one or more kinds of consciousness. - 14/09/2009 04:03:31 PM 555 Views

But merely positing a soul (as a spiritual substance) doesn't actually explain anything. - 14/09/2009 07:46:35 PM 493 Views
