I know that information, and I know that a large part of it is above-average dissatisfaction with one's place in the Scheme of Things. I do not know whether I believe it's fair to say Christians are the root of the evil. Sure there are many christians who are bigots, but there are also many other religions, cultures and regular old people that speak out against homosexuality. Two sides to every coin, and so many currencies.
And, of course, one has to be clear on the terminologies. If one means that gay marriage (church) is not acceptable, but one doesn't care about civil unions, that is one thing. Actively voting to deny civil marriage rights is another.
