Hi everyone,
Jason Denzel here. I just had this thread pointed out to me today. And it was brought to my attention for the first time that the wotmania domain was pointed at my film production site. If it means anything to you, I had no idea that was the case. The wotmania.com domain points to my IP address. And if there's nothing setup for the domain, it defaults to my Argonaut Media website. So that's why you saw that.
Anyway, I've fixed it so that it points to the right landing page.
More generally, I really hope you don't harbor any hostility toward me, Mike, DM, or any other parts of the WoT community. I was as sad as anybody else to see wotmania close down, and I think it's awesome that you guys have kept the spirit of that site alive. It will always be Mike's decision on what to do with the domain. I'm simply fulfilling his request.
In regards to Dragonmount "dying" after the books are over.... Again, I really hope you don't harbor that much hostility toward the site. I mean, really, what harm have we ever intentionally caused? I have no plans of letting the site fade to obscurity after the books are complete. If anything, I truly see this as "a" beginning: the start of the movie era. The start of the gaming era. The start of new book covers. New audiences. This franchise is alive and well. And there's room for all of us, right?
If you guys ever have questions about stuff like this, or if you notice the domain isn't doing what it should, then EMAIL me, okay? Jason@dragonmount.com
See you around

I guess Jason offered a lot of money then? *NM*

We were told it was about the "trust" that the wotmania members had put in Mike by signing up. *NM*

Indeed. Imagine this has quashed any vestiges of good feeling towards the man. *NM*

Someone had already pointed this out in the other thread from a while back. It's bullshit.

I don't know; pretty sure a redirect page isn't terribly rough on the servers. *NM*

Of course it isn't, but he didn't have to do it.

The dragonmount wotmania landing page with the redirect is still accesible if you google wotmania *NM*

10/10/2010 12:25:52 AM

He didn't, it just redirects there. And judging by the Twitter comment that wasn't on purpose. *NM*
