What kind of screwed parents would endanger their children in this way? Sorry I think it is BS that they did not at least suspect this could turn violent. The people who brought tarps to defend against water cannons thought it might get violent. If they were surprised by the level of violence why didn't pull them back when the water canons showed up? The parents where betting their children's safety on the idea that the police would back off because they were using their children as human shields.
I would want to see more before I made a judgment on the actions of the police but no responsible parent would bring a child to a protest that they suspect might turn ugly.
