I don't listen to a ton of hip hop or rap. I'm really way more an Alt rock girl. That said, this challenge is about trying new things.
But you know, its a bit fucked up to say I should like it being black. But whatever, white people are fucked up.

I probably wouldn't say it to someone I don't know. But since we've met a few times, and I in fact knew that you like alternative rock and don't like hip hop - actually, I'm pretty sure we had this exact exchange before in person - I thought there might be room for some jest. I like to poke fun at stereotypes. It'd be quite another thing if I said, "Oh you're black? I know stuff you're going to love!"
Either way, if you're honestly offended, I'm sorry - I didn't expect you to be. I'll adjusted my sensitivity accordingly.
