Latin (9 years), Greek (3 semesters), French (5 semesters), will be taking Arabic next year.

English. With a bit of work I'd be proficient in Latin again.
Were you ever at a point where you could speak it? In our schools it's all passive really for Latin, though in universities some people might still be able to have conversations in it. At least, I've heard horror stories of professors teaching entire classes in Latin.
Not nearly enough. My actual high school had something like eight languages available when I enrolled; by the time I graduated it was down to three (well, four, but they dropped Greek soon after).
I would agree - not so much the lack of choice, as some American schools have an impressive amount of choice and even three foreign languages is not that bad, as the way many people seem to leave school without being able to speak the language they studied. Not many people get to nine years in any language like you, I dare say...

Self-study can be worth as much as formal classroom study, I suppose

They should have asked about second languages rather than foreign languages.
