I'm not being silly nor immature for having a different method of doing things. I respect professionalism, and I exercise it in my job. My question was about using the word "may" in asking someone for their name, and all of the alternatives you provided include that word. I've been promoted 3 times in the past year and a half, and have gone through numerous screening processes, as well as the high standards my department expects from its employees, so I don't understand your immature comment. If I was immature, I would not have been promoted, as my admin has no problem with terminating people.
