or at least a very light colored background. reading on top of images, light text on dark colors, etc...etc... are all bit web design no-nos. They're bad on the eyes.
Personally, I like our set up. Who comes here to admire the web design? We come here to converse, not admire ben's coding skills (not that they aren't lovely, Ben Almighty). Keeping the appearance simple and straightforward is easier on the eyes, less distracting to coworkers and bosses, and the "Fancier" you make a text-based site, the harder it gets to read.
What, I suppose you want all the text to be in Papyrus too?
