I still think this is the darkest song/scene that has ever made it into a kids' movie. The first time I ever saw this movie, I was very...quiet for the rest of the day, but too embarrassed to tell anyone what was wrong

Why is it so sad?

Multiple reasons, I suppose. When I was a kid, I just felt sorry for the cars. Now that I'm older, there's the sadness associated with inevitability and mortality there too. It's definitely a song that seems sadder now that I'm older.

Did you cry?

No. My brothers and sisters would have mocked me until I threw MYSELF into a compacter

Is it a song that you really like?

Yes, actually. And I remember loving this movie too, but it is quite dark for a kids' movie. This scene is the worst though. Yikes.

I also remember seeing "Terminator II" later on in the same day, and being reduced to a shivering wreck by the nuclear bomb scene. Not a good day for movies, that one
Yes, one car mentions "buns and wienies." Can we move on?
