I had just gotten to work when the first plane hit. I remember my friend coming up to me and yelling that we had been attacked. We ran to the closest tv and watched as the second plane hit, and kept watching up to the point where the first of the towers collapsed. The rest of the day was spent in formations and on the phone trying to track down everyone who was on leave.
After that the next couple of weeks was spent with the base pretty much on lockdown and in formations to make sure everyone was accounted for.
