the sad thing is, I really don't think it has to be that way

I've been keeping tabs on the candidates for november for Kansas (where I'm voting) and honestly? Fiscally, both the democrats and the republicans are saying the same thing. Granted, I'm sure a Kansas-democrat is a different entity than a California or Mass. democrat, but my point is there are plenty of democrats who think the fiscal decisions being made are are the wrong ones...
Now if people would just ELECT them...but now, of course, you'll have people making the knee-jerk response of "they're democrat, they'll drive us into the water with our finances!!" without actually researching the candidates. Of course, I don't think even 50% of voters actually research their candidates, which would alone solve some of the "who-we-elect" problems.

You cannot seriously agree with the Republicans about extending the Bush tax cuts.

I would target lowering the corporate rate and helping pass-through entities with cuts.

In reality, virtually no company in the US pays anywhere near the actual corporate tax rate.
