I'm sure it depends on the laws in the state, but I'd guess that anyone coming on the driveway without permission is technically trespassing.

EDIT: I'm assuming, btw, we're talking about a driveway at your average suburban home or a rural property driveway on someone's property to their horse. Not a drive into an apartment parking lot, which I would say is a lot more gray.
