I find myself in a sort of similar situation as you. I'm 27 and living back with my parents because the 4 year relationship I was just in totally collapsed. I won't lie, I'm heartbroken. A lot of good things happened to me because of that relationship, but at the same time I just feel a bit broken.
Despite all of this happening, I know I'll take the leap of faith to fall in love again someday, when I've had some time to heal and make right with myself. Love for me is unconditional; but it must be tempered with trust and honesty and a true commitment to someone else. That applies to romantic love, friendship, the spiritual, passion in a life's work, whatever you can tag love with.
I also learned, to my heartache, that unless someone is really truly able to provide all of those things back to you, they do not deserve you, and you are usually better off without, even when it hurts like hell.
I look around and see the people who have found love, selfless and kind, and I feel a bit better. Because I know it's out there. And you can either decide to be bitter and decide it won't come to you, or you can decide to hope and act with love.
