I work at a rock climbing gym here in Richmond, Va and I' was offered an opportunity to rappel off the side of a 25 story building.

I said "Awesome sign me up"

Then I was told how it works. An organization called Over The Edge Virginia apparently runs a few fundraisers in Virginia for the Special Olympics. This rappel is one of them.

So my goal is to raise $1500 for the Va Special Olympics. Which made this whole idea even cooler for me. The idea of raising that much money was a bit daunting, but also exhilarating. My Boy Scout eagle project ran a bill of about $500 to build an information center for a local soccer organization and I had raised a little over $600 so I got to donate $100+ to youth soccer. With this I get to raise almost 3 times that and it all goes into the Va Special Olympics for them to use as best they can.

So I come to you, my fellow RAFOnauts... With as many people we having coming here, even the smallest donations can make a huge difference! I know I'm a bit Lurky these days but wotmania and now readandfindout.com have always had a special place in my heart and I check in here every day. If you can help me raise some money for a great cause I'd greatly appreciate it!
