Laws about "proper" treatment of human remains is done out of respect for the trauma that the deceased's friends and family are undergoing.

I think the rationale behind banning necrophilia is that sex with corpses is considered highly disgusting and there are dozens of taboos around everything having to do with the dead because there is a sense that we must psychologically separate the dead from the living, and quickly, and not just because the bodies start to rot.
