And essay deadlines? Essay deadlines during my undergraduate degree were 12 noon exactly - and none of that fancy modern email handin shit, you had to hand two printed copies, each with filled out cover sheet and plagiarism declaration, to the department secretary by noon or you'd get 0%. Not 1 minute past 12.
