It's going to be like a very cheap netbook. It will be functional, but it won't be pretty.
For an extra $450, people will put up with a lot. I'm sure Apple will have to bring the price down and become more efficient production-wise. Not that Jobs isn't already squeezing every cent he can from cheap Chinese labor Just notice how upset it made him to offer a $2 case to iPhone 4 buyers lol (the profit margin is estimated to be $400+ on those, but no one knows for sure how much Apple pays for its components or labor contracts)
I mean this thing has pretty much all the highly utilized functionality of the iPad: word processing, web browsing and video-conferencing. O wait, the iPad can't do video-conferencing
