The Broncos will be a case study in why a new coach almost invariably means 2-3 years worth of regrouping. It seems like half the starters are out of town, the rest are on the bubble and, somehow, the D actually manages to get WORSE every year. We have Champ Bailey and... and... ... yeah....

I'm hoping Moreno will be our bright spot, and Ortons past performance is due the Bears awful pass protection rather than his own failings. Really, the offense doesn't look too bad, though heaven only knows how long it will take to digest the notoriously complicated Patriot playbook, but the D... two years ago the one bright spot was a top secondary, but Lynch retired last year while Nick Ferguson and Dominique Foxworth went to start in Atlanta, despite my multi-year pleas we should keep the latter for when Bailey and Bly started slowing. Or, in this case, when Bly got sent to San Fransisco. Meanwhile, we still have a whole lotta nothin' to plug the middle and push the pocket, still have no proven standouts among the LBs apart from D.J. Williams.

I hope I'm wrong, but all signs point to a train wreck. If McDaniels is legit maybe we can accomplish something in a few years, but this year the only competition I see for us is with the Faders for last place in the West.
