Mark Cuban for instance, love to be in the spotlight. Cuban is probably the 2nd or 3rd most recognizable person on the Dallas Mavericks, after Dirk Nowitzki. The other Dallas team, the Cowboys, their owner, Jerry Jones, is also constantly in the spotlight, he even paces the side of the field during games like the coach.

I could see Mr. Jones wanting to buy a premier league team to try and force games into Cowboys stadium. He's been doing a lot of work trying to bring every event possible into Cowboy stadium since it was finished.

Other owners are royally loathed for being 'cheap'. Namely Sterling of the LA Clippers and the Brown family who owns the Cincinnati Bengals.

Most owners in America stay in the background though. I really couldn't name too many past the 'famous' ones above.
