There is no possible way that it could take a person more time to click a button that their middle finger is resting on than to move one hand to press a key while clicking.
I wasn't talking about right-clicking, but I suppose with a Mac user it's academic anyway.
EDIT: I think I see what you meant now, which is hilarious. I wasn't talking about opening a context menu and selecting "open in new tab." Clicking the mouse wheel (you know, that third button real mouses have) on a link immediately opens it up in a new tab.
