It tends to just sit there in the middle of the week, you have to work the days either side of it. It also tends to attract plastic paddys. I prefer my holidays to be either side of the weekend or the likes of Christmas were you get the week off.
Well enough, and you?
I could decide in principle to move somewhere I hadn't been before, but I would want to visit it before I made my final decision
I think they can be revived, even if that is some way down the road.
I think so yes, but then I have never been in a really serious relationship or one that ended nastily. If I had strong feelings for a person that could get in the way of a friendship as there may still be some emotional baggage.
Strawberrys and cream
Nope, I can't drive. I'm Irish.
Well a car mounted a footpath that I was walking on once. It was quite scary.
Drove all day in Australia once.
Not particularly. I used to read Magician by Feist during my exams each summer, but nowadays not really.
Good luck, I hope it works out.
I haven't been around for a while, and now I've reached that stage where it feels like I can only look and not touch, so I guess I'll just present a simple, shallow little survey here, and hopefully start posting more soon.
Anyway, they're all supposed to be universally beloved, but certain traditions just aren't fun at all for some of us... someone with Crohn's disease or even just a strong sense of moderation isn't going to derive much pleasure from Thanksgiving, for example.
I don't like the Fourth. Going to see a fireworks display is one thing, but when your crazy redneck neighbors set explosives off all week (beginning at eight in the morning) and don't even create pretty lights with them - well, it's stupid. Also, my puppy has never been more petrified.
2. How have you been?
Well enough, and you?
3. Would you ever move (permanently) to a place you had never seen or visited before?
I could decide in principle to move somewhere I hadn't been before, but I would want to visit it before I made my final decision
4. How do you feel about lapsed friendships - something that can always be revived, or a sign that loyalty is missing? If the latter, how long before you call it quits on the relationship?
I think they can be revived, even if that is some way down the road.
5. Can exes ever really be friends?
I think so yes, but then I have never been in a really serious relationship or one that ended nastily. If I had strong feelings for a person that could get in the way of a friendship as there may still be some emotional baggage.
6. What is your favorite summer food?
Strawberrys and cream
7. Do you know how to drive a manual car? What country are you from?
Nope, I can't drive. I'm Irish.
8. What's the scariest driving experience you've ever had?
Well a car mounted a footpath that I was walking on once. It was quite scary.
9. What's the longest (most driving hours per day) road trip you've ever done?
Drove all day in Australia once.
10. Do you have any books or pieces of literature you reread yearly (or according to some other sort of schedule)? What are they?
Not particularly. I used to read Magician by Feist during my exams each summer, but nowadays not really.
Other news with me - am planning to set out for my new home in WA, bright and early Tuesday morning. It will be a long drive, and I don't entirely know where I'll end up. I hope it will be nice.
Good luck, I hope it works out.
