Sidewalks were created for pedestrian traffic? I get far more annoyed with bikers on sidewalks (sidewalks not pedestrian/bike path) than with bikers on the roads. I live very close to the head of a bike trail, and we get people buzzing past our house on the sidewalk all the time. I've nearly been hit a number of times, my kids also.
The area that I live in has a very high number of people who use bicycles as their primary transportation. The biggest problem that I have with this is that many bikers ignore traffic signs and laws as much or more than motorists. A lot of bicyclists blow throw stop signs, going straight/turning left whatever, and expect cars to give them right of way. I see this multiple times every day. It's frustrating, annoying, and scary.
For as much as bikers complain about motorists, a lot of them need to learn how to safely ride bicycles on the street before putting themselves and others in danger.
