Bikes have become so common on the roads around here (north Dallas suburb) that you hardly even notice. The only time I feel inclined to yell at bike rider is when they try and ride two inches from the curb so cars can pass them. It is your lane, don't give it up if doing so is unsafe. I hate seeing some bike rider trying to ride two inches from the curb as cars blow past them at 40mph in their lane.
I do wish we had more bike lanes though. I live 8 miles from my office and I would love to be able to bike to work but some of the roads I would have to take just are not safe to bike on.
