we actually ordered a ridiculous amount of food and they started giving us things on the house, i tried just about everything. and yes it was authentic, we asked a korean group of people leaving how the food was and they loved it.
Regardless of the reviews, that doesn't mean it was, one, all that authentic, and two, decent quality at all. And it could be that what you ordered was simply unappealing to you and there might have been other Korean Foods that suited you better.
Oh and if it was a buffet style? Definitely don't blame the type of food. I've NEVER met one of those that was actually what I'd call "Good" on a food quality basis.

Why do you assume this? Most of the places in Koreatown are pretty authentic and "good".

Yeah, I'm not crazy about Korean food. Especially North Korean food - bark, grass and roots.
