why do so many English-speakers (including you, I've noticed) insist on writing the name of the author of Crime and Punishment as "Dostoevsky" (rather than Dostoyevsky)? I seem to remember from the Russian lessons you gave me that the ?? in Cyrillic is pronounced "ye", and in Russian I believe it is written ????????????.
