its almost as if they forgot who our last president was....
IIRC, the "great foreign policy legacy" of our LAST President has had a lot more to do with the British desire to end our "special relationship" than anything Obama did. It also had a lot to do with bringing down the first Labour government since WWII to win successive majorities. Funny how Zuckerman starts a paragraph talking about Britain ending our relationship and then spends the entire rest of that paragraph talking about how disappointed the right wing FRENCH President is. One wonders if he owns a globe (Zuckerman, not Sarkozy. ) Meanwhile, as someone who didn't sleep through the past decade I know North Korea toyed with Bush on nuclear weapons at least as much as it has with Obama; their nuclear bomb and intermediate range missile tests didn't happen on his watch.
All of that said, Obama's first year showed plenty of examples of what McCain meant when he said, "we don't have time for on the job training. " The BP disaster isn't helping; supposedly the Coast Guard gave them until the end of last week to cap the well or the government would take over, but a week later BP's still running the show (because they've done such a bang up job to this point. ) Of course, a lot of that is still a "legacy" of 2009, when Obama gave them even more lax regulations than Bush did. Now he wants to blame them for all sorts of responsible behavior that caused the problem but that his administration knew about (or should've) a year and a half ago, and taking control of the gushing well would mean admitting they never should've granted the lease to begin.
But as for this article, it's just an example of why Zuckerman has a permanent seat among the right wing shills on John McLaughlins show.
