I think it should be a choice for your dad to make though, since it is him being talked about.
If he doesn't then I'd just tell the guy that he shouldn't be broadcasting your dad's private information on the internet and tell him he should be careful because he could get himself in real trouble if he did it about someone who then complained. But make sure to be friendly and not threatening about it
